Single copy of the materials found on this Careers Website may be downloaded subject to the provisions below. By using this Careers Website or downloading any materials from this Careers Website, it is deemed that the Users have agreed to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). These Terms may be amended, modified or replaced by other terms and conditions at ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries’ sole and absolute discretion. If the Users do not agree to these Terms, do not use this Careers Website or download any materials from this Careers Website.

The materials found at this Careers Website belong to ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries or relevant parties. Such materials are protected and any unauthorized use thereof may violate copyright, trademark, and/or other laws and regulations.

Users’ Submission

The Users are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from this Careers Website any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or other material that would violate any law.

Use of Personal Data

Personal data submitted to ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries via this Careers Website is governed by ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries' Personal Data Privacy Policy. Please read the full version thereof below.

If the Users decide to access any of the links to websites of third parties, the Users do so entirely at the Users’ own risks.

ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries do not warrant that materials on this Careers Website are accurate or complete or warrant that they do not contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Further, ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information, text, graphics, links or other items contained within the materials found at this Careers Website. Personal Data Privacy Policy

It is the policy of ASMPT and/or its subsidiaries (“Data User”) that they and their personnel comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the laws of the Hong Kong SAR (“Ordinance”). The Data User will ensure compliance by its personnel with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.

The Data User is committed to notifying the applicants and other users of its Careers Website (“Users”) when it collects the personal data of the Users and safeguarding the privacy of the Users online. If the Users choose to provide his/her personal data  to the Data User, the Data User will treat the personal data of the Users according to this Policy. The Data User encourages the Users to read this Policy and the policies contained in all the websites that the Users visit.

If the personal data of the Users is collected in the process of the submission of his/her application for a job vacancy advertised by the Data User, the Users will be notified via the Personal Information Collection Statement of the Careers Website of the Data User the purpose(s) of such collection and uses thereof.

Collection of Personal Data

The identity of the Users of the Careers Website of the Data User will be kept and remain anonymous. Users of the Careers Website of the Data User can view certain webpages of the Data User without providing his/her personal data. The Data User does not collect any personally identifiable information from the Users when the Users browse the Careers Website of the Data User. When the Users visit the Careers Websites of the Data User, the Data User will record such visits only as a “hit” and no personal data of the Users will be collected since the Data User will only make a record the visits made by the Users that reflects only the device and browser of the Users, the name of the internet service provider of the Users, the internet protocol address of the Users, the requests and responses sent from and to the device of the Users, the site that referred the Users to the Careers Website of the Data User (a cookie is used to track this), acceptance of cookies by the Users (a cookie is used to store this), and the behavior of the Users on the Careers Website of the Data User. The Data User will only use such information for its preparation of general statistics on the usage of its Careers Website. For job application in the Careers Website of the Data User, the Users will be asked to complete an online application form. An application form will ask for information about the Users who will apply for jobs with the Data User.

Purposes and Uses of Personal Data

The Data User may use the data recorded from the visit of Careers Website to learn more about the behaviors of Users in its Careers Website for improving its recruitment process and this Careers Website.

If you have submitted job application on this Careers Website, the Data User may use the personal data of the Users in  two (2) areas:

1.       To establish the identity of the Users for the Data User's own recruitment or personnel/employment-related purposes; and

2.       To generate an anonymized data that the Data User will share internally for its talent acquisition strategies.

The Data User does not sell any personally identifiable information. The Data User may share personal data of the Users with its subsidiaries. All processing of personal data of the Users of the Careers Website is based on the legitimate interest of the Data User to facilitate recruitment. The Data User may alert the Users to job vacancies offered by the Data User via email. Suitable opt-out facilities will be provided during the process.

Any personal data of the Users that the Users provide through the job application form of the Data User can be processed for the job application procedure, including but not limited to the full name, email address, phone number, picture, cover letter, resume, LinkedIn profile, and Indeed profile of the Users and which job the Users have applied for; statuses, notes and planning related to the job application of the Users; and email communications.

The personal data of the Users has to be processed by LinkedIn and Indeed to allow for the ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ and ‘Apply with Indeed’ functionalities. LinkedIn and Indeed may use cookies. The Users can read their privacy policies on their websites.

Transfer of Personal Data

The personal data of the Users will not be disclosed or transferred to any other party in a form that would identify the Users except in the following circumstances:

1.       If the Data User uses third party content providers and service providers to facilitate its services, the Data User will have to provide personal data of the Users to these content providers and service providers offering such services where the Users choose to use these services;

2.       The Data User may disclose or access personal data of the Users when the Data User believes in good faith that the law requires it;

3.       The Data User may also disclose or access personal data of the Users for administrative and other purposes that the Data User deems necessary to maintain, service, and improve its services.

In addition, personal data of the Users will be accessed by, disclosed or transferred to any person or bodies corporate or division within the Data User for such purpose as the Data User considers appropriate.

As the aforesaid parties may have places of business outside Hong Kong, personal data of the Users may be transferred out of Hong Kong. By subscribing to the Careers Website of the Data User or by making an application, the Users agree to the Data User transferring their personal data to these parties outside Hong Kong. Such parties adhere to their own privacy customs and policies and the Data User has no control over their use of the personal data of the Users. Therefore, the Data User is not liable for their use of the personal data of the Users.

Use of Cookies

Some areas of this Careers Website may use cookies so as to enable the Data User to provide a better user experience. Cookies may also be used to store useful information including information provided by the Users and their navigation patterns that enable the Careers Website of the Data User to remember the Users when the Users return to visit the Careers Website of the Data User. If the Users choose to disable cookies in their browsers, the Users can still access most areas of the Careers Website of the Data User. However, some areas of the Careers Website will not allow the Users to complete certain activities if the cookies are disabled.

Generally, the Data User uses “cookies” to estimate its audience size; to track the progresses of the Users and the number of entries in its Careers Websites; to assist the Data User in tracking visits, and to measure the traffic patterns of the Users. Personal data collected by means of “cookies” will not be disclosed to any third parties, except to personnel of Data User.

Security of Personal Data

The Data User has appropriate security measures in place to protect against loss, misuse, or alteration of the personal data of the Users that the Data User has collected from the Users at the Careers Website of the Data User. Access to personal data of the Users is limited to personnel of the Data User who may, with the permission of the Users, disclose the personal data of the Users to third parties (e.g. ex-employers of the Users) for reference check purposes if so requested by such third parties. The Data User does not otherwise share the personal data of the Users with third parties, unless the Users have granted the Data User permission to do so.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee the security of data transmission over the internet or any wireless network. Therefore, although the Data User takes reasonable measures to protect personal data of the Users, the Data User cannot ensure the security of any personal data the Users transmit to the Data User or from online services and the Users do so at their own risks. Once the Data User receives the transmission of the Users, the Data User will use industry standard efforts to ensure its security on its systems.

The retention period of the personal data of the Users is 180 days. Unless the Users advise the Data User otherwise, the Data User will delete the personal data of the Users from the databases of the Data User following the expiration of such retention period. The Users who would like the Data User to retain their personal data beyond the aforesaid retention period for future job opportunities, the Users should advise the Data User accordingly prior to the expiration of the aforesaid retention period.

Only the authorized personnel of the Data User will be permitted access to the personal data of the Data User, and the Data User shall not release such personal data to any external parties without the prior consent of the Users, except those parties set out in this Policy.

Access, Correction and Deletion of Personal Data

The Users have the right to request access to, correction and deletion of their personal data held by the Data User in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. The Users can email to careers@asmhk.recruitee.com for their request of accessing their personal data. For correction and deletion of personal data, the Users can click the corresponding link at the bottom of the email that the Data User sent to the Users. The Data User will respond to the request of the Users with ten (10) working days. Please note that depending on the request that is being made, the Data User will only need to provide the Users with access to the personal data requested, and not their entire personal data.

This Policy may change from time to time. By subscribing and applying to the Careers Website of the Data User, the Users agree to be bound by this Policy then in force. This Policy was last updated on Aug 27, 2020. Disclaimer: The materials found at this Careers Website are provided "as is" without any express or implied warranty of any kind including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. In no event shall the Data User be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of personal data) arising out of the use of or inability to use the materials, even if the Data User has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
